The effect of compensation system on staff performance was determined using Tobit regression analysis and it was deduced that motivational indexes like age and management-staff relationship positively affected the performance of the workers with coefficients of 0.305, 0.157 and 0.156 respectively while years of experience and gender have negative relationships with performance with coefficients of -0.806, 0.003 and -0.022 respectively. The result of f-ratio for Tobit regression model was 4.38 at 1% significant level which shows that motivational system positively affect performance of health care workers. It was concluded that motivation systems [monetary and non-monetary] would increase health workers performance if it is well implemented.
